About Robert
Hello, pleased to introduce myself. My name is Robert Kohlleppel.
I have been with Mercedes since July 2019 working on self driving, autonomous cars. Specifically, on making the most of radar data for generating the environment model.
Previously I have been team leader at Fraunhofer FHR building the new team “Signal Processing for Space Surveillance” from scratch. I worked on GESTRA – the first German phased array radar for space surveillance – and on distributed radar systems for space surveillance.
Before that I was already at Fraunhofer as a researcher for airborne radar signal processing and target tracking. In 2015 I completed my PhD. thesis “Ground moving target tracking with space-time adaptive radar“.
